WHAT WE BELIEVE IN

At Aamori Group, we are passionate about leadership and professional development and the value this adds for the individual, the work team/group and the organisation. 

We understand that to have an effective, lasting impact on change and growth, the development MUST be meaningful, informative and enjoyable.

To be sustainable, we knew that any program or methodology we provide needs to be applicable both in and out of the workplace.

HOW WE STARTED

Founding Directors, Michael and Kelly Saunders started the "Aamori" organisation back in 2011, originally as a Mine Engineering Consultancy and Site Services company (known as Aamori Mining Pty Ltd). 

Over time, the company evolved and included training consultancy services to the Vocational Education & Training (VET) industry. 

In early 2016, Kelly travelled to Fiji to work on an AusAid sponsored project providing leadership, business development  and facilitation training, mentoring and coaching across the Pacific Islands for 18 months. During this time, Kelly worked with Pacific Island staff from a range of industries using experiential learning techniques and story telling blended with one on one, face to face facilitation and e-learning sessions to achieve exceptional leadership and professional growth. 

While Kelly was in Fiji, Michael focused on mentoring and leadership development within the mining industry and implementing change within the public safety sector.  After 18 months based in Fiji followed by 6 months of travelling to Papua New Guinea from Perth home-base, Michael and Kelly knew it was time to switch gears with Aamori Mining and launch Aamori Group,  blending Michael's international & national mine engineering, leadership, management, change management and planning expertise with Kelly's large/small business, leadership and adult learning expertise and incorporate the tried and tested techniques developed in previous 2 years, to provide leadership and professional development.... done differently!

WHY WE CHOSE THE LEADERSHIP CHALLENGE® PROGRAMS

As part of the process of finding the right programs, we undertook global research to find a Leadership program and suite of products/tools that addressed the current (and future) needs of industry, and would withhold the test of time to provide inspiring leadership direction and quality self growth.... the result.. The Leadership Challenge®!

The methodology developed by Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner through the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership® was a perfect fit for the Aamori Group vision and belief and was something that both Michael and Kelly practised continually, both in the workplace and in life. As a result, Kelly travelled to Sonoma, California to undertake certification in both The Leadership Challenge®  AND the Leadership Practices Inventory®  (LPI®) and meet with inspiring, extraordinary leaders who have embraced the Challenge and empowered others. 

WHAT MAKES OUR PROGRAMS SO SPECIAL

In addition to the Leadership Challenge programs, we have developed over 100 professional development workshops to address individual, specific development areas.

Our workshops can be tailored to organisational needs and are facilitated utilising the high energy, practical, fun delivery style Aamori Group facilitators are known for, thereby ensuring participants (and organisations) gain the most from every workshop. The key professional development areas are bundled into our own "Fundamentals" range (Fundamental Management/Fundamental Teams), which assist those new to their role start off on the right foot or as a refresher for current employees.

Whether participants are undertaking our leadership programs or our professional development workshops, they are able to apply all the skills and knowledge they gain through the experiential learning techniques used in all programs, immediately in the workplace. 

Participants are fully engaged throughout (there is no "death by PowerPoint") and they participate 100%.

Where possible, we utilise the client's organisation policies, procedures and goals to reinforce understanding and applicability of our programs to the participant's work environment.

All participants take home quality workbooks, action plans and templates that can be used in the workplace.
